Man-made guidelines and controls are what I am talking about. Not the laws of Nature. Before I stray too far... let me say I am not a rule follower; never have been. That tidbit of info is both good and bad news, if you are me. Now, later on in life - when people's opinions hold less value for me - I see this as good.
That stubborn streak of "I know better" has actually saved lives, transformed personalities, and also pissed off a ton of people. In the end, I care less, plus saves money on stamps at the holidays. I would rather remember the 1,000's that I have helped than the 100's who are still holding a grudge. Those being the individuals whose rules and dogmas I challenged. Oh well. Break a few eggs to make an omlette?
For the other 'rebels' out there... know you are in good company. Know you are making a difference. Know you are the ones who actually improve the world. Yes, maybe by pissing off a few people first. Truth.
